Favors Perfect for a Tropical Beach Wedding

Posted on July 1st, 2008 by Kori Ellis in Wedding Favors

My friend Samantha is getting married in Hawaii at the end of the year. She was asking me about wedding favors. So we were looking at all the beach and tropical favors that would be perfect for her wedding.

Silver Pineapple Placecard HoldersThough her wedding is at the beach, it’s not that casual. Therefore, I thought she should go for something chrome or crystal - still with a beachy theme.

I think she has settled on these silver pineapple placecard holders pictured here. They are made of shiny chrome and quite elegant, but also fun with the pineapple theme!

After guests take these place card favors home, they can use them to hold photos or memos on their desk. Functional, fun and elegant - just what Samantha is looking for!

Mini Satin Photo Album

Posted on June 28th, 2008 by Kori Ellis in Wedding Favors, Wedding Photos

These mini photo albums make great wedding favors. The albums come in either burgundy or black and are made with luxurious satin.

Mini Satin Photo AlbumOn the front, you can slip in a photo of the bride and groom, or the album can do double duty as a placecard holder. Inside is space for 20 photos - two on each page, so your guests can fill up the album with memories when they get home. Each photo album is approximately 3.8 inches square.

You would think a wedding favor like this one might be expensive, but it’s not at all. The mini satin photo albums are priced around $2 each (depending on how many you order).

If you are looking for photo frames or albums for your wedding favors, Truly Wedding Favors has plenty of choices. The reason I like picture albums and frames is that your guests will find them not only beautiful but also useful. You don’t want to spend money on wedding favors that your guests are just going to toss aside.

For big bargains at Truly Wedding Favors, check out the Favors By Price section, where you can find wedding favors for under $1.00.

After the wedding excitement, flip the coin for a relaxing honeymoon at sister property Sonesta Great Bay Beach Resort & Casino. Just a few miles down the road, couples will enjoy its stretch of pristine white-sand beach, clear waters, and proximity to the island capital Philipsburg for shopping and dining.

Sunset Resorts, Jamaica
Sunset Resorts in Jamaica gives the big kiss off to over-priced weddings! The destination wedding now marries any budget with its “We Do” wedding package. Guests staying a minimum of seven nights at Sunset Beach Resort & Spa in Montego Bay or Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort & Spa in Ocho Rios can now get married for free, courtesy of the resort. Sunset Resorts is an escape from escalating wedding prices, which can transform the “big day” into bigger bills. And the headaches of ceremony planning and tracking down vendors? Gone! Sunset Resorts will handle every move. You’ll be free to enjoy your vows backed by beautiful Jamaican sunsets.

For a beach wedding, you should choose wedding favors that depict a beach theme. Truly Wedding Favors offers a variety of beach themed favors that include colorful fun choices, or something a little more elegant.

Planning a Las Vegas Wedding

Posted on June 19th, 2008 by Kori Ellis in Wedding Favors

Of course, many people get married in Las Vegas on a whim. However, many others couples plan their Vegas wedding well in advance, just like any other destination wedding.

If you are planning a wedding in Vegas, follow these simple wedding tips.

Martini glass gel candleBe sure to book early. The dates around the holidays book very fast in Las Vegas. Not only will you need to book your reception and ceremony site, but all the hotel rooms and other vendors. Conventions book in Vegas sometimes years in advance, so plan well ahead to get the best choice of vendors and locations possible.

Consider an outdoor wedding, but not in the dead of summer. Vegas is HOT! However, many of their hotels and other venues offer beautiful outdoor wedding facilities. If you plan on a garden or poolside wedding, be sure to keep the weather in mind.

It doesn’t have to be tacky. Just because you are getting married in Vegas, it doesn’t have to be all about glitz and Elvis impersonators. You can plan an elegant traditional wedding at one of the gorgeous hotels or other wedding facilities available in Las Vegas.

At Truly Wedding Favors, we offer a variety of wedding favors that are suitable for a Las Vegas theme.

If you are going with a red and black casino motif, check out the Las Vegas coaster set. For a whimsical choice, the martini glass gel candles are a nice option. And for something a little more traditional, choose from any number of unique wedding favors.

Piano Place Card Holders

Posted on June 7th, 2008 by Kori Ellis in Wedding Favors

Piano Place Card HoldersLast year, I went to a friend’s wedding reception at a piano bar. It was a small affair of about 50 people, but it was a really fun atmosphere. The pianist was awesome - he sang everything from showtunes to the latest pop hits. Even if you aren’t having your party at a piano bar, a pianist is a nice idea. It can be the perfect complement to a classy, black and white wedding or even a wedding with a Las Vegas theme.

If you are having pianist at your reception or just a big music fan, these Piano Place Card Holders are a nice choice.

Place card holders are terrific favors because they can serve a function at your reception and for years to come. These cute favors can be used to hold photos or memos in your guests’ homes long after the celebrations are over. The place cards included with these favors have musical notes and the words “Ain’t Love Grand?” inscribed on them.

Wedding Favor Cookies

Posted on June 1st, 2008 by Kori Ellis in Wedding Favors

These cute cookie pictured here are from Elenis. They offer specialty cookies in various shapes and designs that depict holidays, hobbies and just about everything else - including weddings!

Wedding CookiesThe set pictured here is $65 for 17 cookies. You can also order individual designs, ranging from square monogram cookies to colorful cake cookies. You could use them as wedding favors, bridal shower favors or hand them out the morning after your wedding at brunch.

If you are feeling creative, you could probably bake similar cookies yourself and then package them as wedding favors. Though they wouldn’t be as perfect as the ones from Elenis, they’d be a little more affordable.

After baking and frosting your cookies, wrap them in cellophane and then package them in one of the wedding favor boxes available at Truly Wedding Favors.

My favorite is the Pink Plaid Purse favor box - it’s perfect for a bridal shower. For an Asian themed wedding, you should consider the “Double Happiness” favor boxes. These red and gold boxes are ideal for an Asian theme wedding.
