Living Happily Ever After

Posted on May 30th, 2008 by Kori Ellis in Wedding Favors

When Ashlee Simpson married Pete Wentz earlier this month, she got her fairy tale wedding, complete with an “Alice in Wonderland” theme reception. Her wedding cake even featured a top hat, tea pot, stop watch and a pot of flowers on top. If you are planning a fairy tale wedding, you will undoubtedly be looking for appropriate wedding favors.

Pewter Castle Place Card HolderTruly Wedding Favors offers a variety of favors that are perfect for a fairy tale wedding. These fairy tale wedding favors are highlighted by castles, silver coaches and glass slippers. They are all designed to celebrate the beginning of your very own fairy tale life as you begin living “Happily Ever After.”

My favorite fairy tale favor is the Pewter Castle Place Card Holder. The details of this castle include turrets, flags and even a moat!

Tropical Weddings in Hawaii

Posted on May 18th, 2008 by Kori Ellis in Wedding Favors

Hawaii continues to be one of the most popular destinations for weddings and honeymoons. If you are planning a destination wedding in Hawaii, you should embrace the tropical theme.

Many people think that a tropical theme means tacky plastic leis and girls in grass skirts. Though those ideas might be fun for some, if you are looking for an elegant wedding, you can still do it in Hawaii.

Silver Pineapple Placecard HoldersWith beautiful beaches and top-notch resorts, Hawaii is a gorgeous place to plan a classy more traditional wedding.

Last year, we traveled to Hawaii for a wedding on the beach in Maui. It was very well done. The tropical flowers offered gorgeous bursts of bright colors, while the rest of the wedding was done in silver and white. The results were fantastic.

If you are planning a wedding in Vegas (or anywhere eles with a tropical theme), you can find beautiful classy wedding favors here at Truly Wedding Favors.

The Silver Pineapple Placecard Holders pictured here are terrific choice. These shiny chrome favors can be used to hold placecards on your wedding day and then hold photos in your guests’ homes long after the wedding is over. You can get these favors for under $2 each.

Are you getting married in Las Vegas?

Posted on May 16th, 2008 by Kori Ellis in Wedding Favors

Vegas used to be considered somewhere you would just get married on a whim. However with so many beautiful luxury casino hotels and resorts in Vegas these days, many couple plan their weddings in Las Vegas.

Martini Glass Gel CandleLas Vegas isn’t just a place for quicky weddings and those with Elvis impersonators. Very elegant, classy weddings take place in Vegas too. Recently, I attended a poolside wedding at the Alexis Park Resort Hotel. It’s an absolutely amazing facility. In addition to their outdoor weddings, they also have several gorgeous onsite ballrooms.

If you are getting married in Vegas, you should consider purchasing Vegas themed favors. A black and white wedding or black and red wedding is perfect for Vegas.

One of my favor Vegas favors here at Truly are the Piano Place Card Holders. They provide an aura of a Las Vegas lounge without being tacky.

Another great choice is the Martini Glass Gel Candle pictured here. It comes in an elegant gift box tied with a black organza ribbon.

Kissing Bells

Posted on May 15th, 2008 by Kori Ellis in Wedding Favors

A long time wedding tradition is for guests to ring bells that are placed on the tables at the reception. The ring of the bell signals the bride and groom to kiss. The clinking of glasses can also be a sign for the newlyweds to kiss.

White Open Heart Wedding BellIf you want to offer kissing bells at your wedding reception, Truly Wedding Favors offers a variety types of bells.

I think the best thing to do is get bells that can do double-duty as place card holders. The White Open Heart Wedding Bell pictured here does just that. These chrome wedding bells serve as place card holders, yet your guests can also ring them throughout the reception. I also love this chrome wedding bell which features an acrylic rose on top.

Check out all the bell favors here at Truly.

Kate Moss Planning a Gothic Wedding?

Posted on May 9th, 2008 by Kori Ellis in Celebrity Weddings, Wedding Favors

When supermodel Kate Moss marries her fiancĂ© Jamie Hince this September, her wedding will certainly garner a lot of attention. A variety of rumors and reports are circulating about Kate’s upcoming nupitals.

Kate MossLast month, it was reported that she would have a tradtional English country wedding – a big white wedding and perhaps a vintage gown. However the latest reports say that Kate Moss wants a Gothic wedding theme. The Daily Star reports that sketches for Kate’s wedding feature purple and black full-skirted gowns.

Goth weddings are growing in popularity in recent years. I was thinking about what kind of wedding favors you’d have for a Gothic wedding. I would think candle favors would be great. Also wine glass favors seem appropriate too.

How about you? Would you ever consider having a Gothic wedding? What colors would you use. Like Kate, I might pick purple and black … or maybe dark burgundy. Who am I kidding? I’d never have a Goth wedding. But just because it’s not for me doesn’t mean it’s not for everyone!

Picture Perfect Wedding Day

Disposable Wedding CameraOne of the biggest complaints of couples when they get their wedding reception photos back is not enough candid pictures.

Professional photographers oftentimes do a great job capturing formal or posed pictures, but sometimes miss out on the fun candids. To get as many candid photos at your wedding reception as possible, you should consider placing a disposable camera on each table.

These cameras will encourage your guests to take pictures themselves. At the end of the night, they leave the cameras on the table. You collect them, get the pictures develop and Voila! – lots of terrific photos.

It’s cheap too! Here at Truly Wedding Favors, you can get disposable wedding cameras to match your wedding theme. From a fun blue beach themed camera to formal white and silver variety, you are sure to find a disposable camera to go along your wedding colors.

Don’t Skip the Wedding Favors!

Posted on April 28th, 2008 by Kori Ellis in Wedding Favors

Last weekend, my husband and I went to a wedding where the bride and groom didn’t give ANY favors! How tacky!

I know everyone doesn’t have unlimited funds and I wasn’t expecting anything elaborate. But it’s really shameful to have a wedding and skip the wedding favors completely!

If you can afford to rent a banquet hall, serve dinner to 200 guests, pay for elaborate floral centerpieces and buy ridiculous ice sculptures that melt in a few hours, then you should be able to spring for wedding favors.

You can make your own wedding favors at home on the cheap. All you need is tulle circles, some candy and a ribbon. Each favor will cost under fifty cents.

If you don’t have time to make your own favors, just look around here at Truly Wedding Favors. You will find a variety of different wedding favors that are both elegant and affordable.

Check the section in the sidebar entitled “Favors By Price” to locate wedding favors that are on sale.

There’s no excuse to not have favors at all!

Creative Favor: Take Your Wedding Cake Home!

Posted on April 5th, 2008 by Kori Ellis in Wedding Favors

Buttercream Dreams Cake CandleRecently I went to a wedding where, instead of serving the wedding cake, a slice of cake was given to each guest in a box to take home. Other desserts were offered at the reception if someone wanted to partake, but no one ate the cake (other than the bride and groom in the cutting ceremony).

I thought that it was a little odd but I kind of understand the logic. After a full meal, many people only take one bite of cake and throw the rest of the cake away. This way, everyone can enjoy the cake later at home and there is not so much waste.

If you aren’t interested in giving away real wedding cake in lieu of wedding favors, you can give beautiful cake shaped candles instead.

Truly Wedding Favors offers a selection of cake favors that are really cute and can cost less than $2 each. The one pictured here is the “Buttercream Dreams” cake candle. It’s just adorable!

You can also choose from pink, blue, white and even a special fall themed cake candle. These affordable wedding favors are beautiful and practical. Check out all the cake wedding favors here at Truly.

“Head Over Heels” Bottle Stopper

Posted on March 21st, 2008 by Kori Ellis in Wedding Favors

Head Over HeelsMaybe one of the cutest wedding favors that I’ve ever seen is now available here at Truly Wedding Favors. The “Head Over Heels” Bride and Groom Bottle Stoppers are so much fun.

These whimsical stoppers feature either a bride or groom figurine. However, the figurine is upside down and only the bottom portion of the body is depicted. Therefore when you use the stopper, it appears that they have taken a tumble into the wine bottle.

This favor is presented nicely in a gift box. You can choose either the bride or the groom, but it’s probably best to order both. You wouldn’t want to separate this fun-loving couple.

This bottle stopper is just one of many available at Truly Wedding Favors, you can choose from a variety of wine-related favors, including elegant crystal stoppers, as well as themed bottle stoppers.

Not only are these adorable favors practical, they are also quite affordable. You can get them for around $2.00 each.

Cookie Cutter Wedding Favors

Posted on March 20th, 2008 by Kori Ellis in Wedding Favors

My husband and I went to a wedding last weekend where the favors consisted of a cookie recipe, along with two heart-shaped cookie cutters. I thought it was just adorable for the couple to share the bride’s family cookie recipe with all the guests.

Cookie cutters and other cooking related items are growing in popularity as wedding favors. Here at Truly Wedding Favors, we offer several different types of cookie cutters that are perfect for your wedding.

The set of three heart shaped cookie cutters pictured here are a great option. They are not only practical, but also very affordable. These cookie cutters are packaged in black bottomed gift box and wrapped with an organza bow for very nice presentation. They are just over a dollar per set.

I also love The Perfect Pair cookie cutters. If you choose these favors, you can also have other decorations centered around the pair theme – including having a basket of sweet pairs on each table instead of flowers or more traditional centerpiece.
