Reem Acra offers a beautifully line of bridal gowns and evening wear. Her collections are elegant and sophisticated, ranging from vintage looks to modern designs.
One thing I love about the Reem Acra bridal collection is she isn’t afraid to play with color. Many brides are going away from a traditional white wedding gown in recent years. If you are considering something different check out these three blue bridal gowns from Reem Acra.
A wedding with a blue theme can be very beautiful. Select gorgeous blue hydrangeas and decorate your reception facility in blue and white (or blue and silver). And don’t forget the wedding favors. With the struggling economy and the rising costs of planning a wedding, you are probably looking for simple ways to save money. Here are a few easy ways to cut back on your wedding costs without sacrificing style.
Have a dessert only reception.
Instead of a traditional sit down dinner, have a dessert only reception. This is the perfect alternative for an evening wedding. You can offer an array of luscious desserts, dessert wines, coffee and other specialty drinks.
Skip the fresh flowers.
Silk flowers are often cheaper than their fresh counterparts, and you can use them over again for many other occasions. If you love the aroma and look of fresh flowers, be sure to select blooms that are in season and locally grown to reduce costs.
Cut back the guest list.
No one says that you have to invite every acquaintance and distant relative to your wedding. Instead, keep the guest list small with just your close family and friends.
Serve cupcakes.
Instead of a traditional wedding cake, serve cupcakes. Everyone loves cupcakes and they can be presented in tiers to resemble a wedding cake. You can still have a small cake on top for the cake cutting ceremony.
Save on wedding favors.
Beautiful, unique wedding favors don’t have to be expensive. Truly Wedding Favors offers a variety of cheap wedding favors in beautiful designs and styles. You can also purchase wedding favor boxes or bags to package almonds, mints, cookies or other goodies at a very low cost. Other low cost favors include key chain wedding favors, bookmark wedding favors and candle wedding favors.

Even if you aren’t of Asian heritage, it doesn’t mean you can’t have an Asian wedding theme. Many couples enjoy the culture and colors so they are incorporating them into their wedding day.
If you are planning your wedding with an Asian theme, you have a lot of beautiful options for Asian wedding favors, decorations, and more. And don’t forget about the food, everyone loves delicious Chinese, Japanese and other Asian food.
For a Chinese wedding, red and gold colors are used. These colors are bold and lively, but also add a touch of sophistication. Some of my favorite Asian wedding favors are these beautiful Chinese Tapestry votive candles. Each stunning red candle is packaged in a black and red Chinese tapestry bag. The red drawstring braid draws the bag shut and features two gold-trimmed tassels. The tag on each favor has the Chinese symbol for Double Happiness.
You can get these unique wedding favors here at Truly for under $2 each, depending on how many you order. For more tips on Asian weddings, read our article about how to plan an Asian theme wedding.

If you are trying to cut costs at your wedding, you need to find items that can do double-duty. For example, instead of an expensive floral centerpiece on each table at the reception, you can have a basket of fresh fruit. The fruit makes a colorful centerpiece, while also offering your guests something to snack on.
This also goes for wedding favors. If you can find unique wedding favors that also do double-duty, you can get more bang for your buck. One of the best ways is with place card holders.
Many place card holders can be take away favors for your guests to bring home. For example, picture frame wedding favors can hold a place card during the reception and then used as a picture frame in your guests’ homes.
One of my favorites is the Calla Lily Photo/Place Card Holder pictured here. It’s great for a spring wedding or any wedding featuring a floral motif. Each elegant frame can hold the place card for seating assignments at your reception.
You can also slip in a photo of bride and groom under the place card. Then when your guests take them home they will have a cute photo of the happy couple in the frame. At under $2 each, these practical wedding favors and a great bargain.

Many couples are taking their weddings to the beach these days. Up to 20% of all weddings are destination weddings with most of those being at beach locations.
Whether you are having your wedding at a local beach or an far away exotic locale, you should decorate with items that incorporate the beach theme. Use plenty of shells, ships and palm trees. Also pick unique wedding favors that use beach colors and motifs.
You can get a variety of beach wedding favors from Truly. Some of my favorites are these beach theme cork coasters. Coaster wedding favors are both cute and practical. These cork favors are available for under $2 each. Each favor consists of four square cork coasters depicting a beach scene of two beach chairs and an umbrella right on the sand.
To place your order, you can call toll-free to 1-888-44-TRULY where a customer service rep will be happy to answer any questions.

A friend of mine told me about a very formal wedding that she atteneded recently where the couple gave store-bought cookies as wedding favors … and just two cookies to each guest. I’m not talking about any elaborate, expensive, beautiful cookies, but rather just generic cookies that cost a few cents each.
When you can afford to invite 300 people to your wedding, you shouldn’t skimp on wedding favors. Don’t get me wrong, you don’t have to spend a fortune. You can actually get cheap wedding favors that aren’t cheap-looking or tacky.
Here are Truly we offer a variety of unique wedding favors in almost every price range. If you want to go the “cheap” route, check out the Favors By Price section where you can find a variety of wonderful favors for under a couple dollars each.
For example, these glass coaster wedding favors pictured here are a fantastic option. They are elegant, practical and celebrate your love with the word “LOVE” spelled out. Each favor consists of a set of four frosted glass coasters.
If you want to package candies or cookies as wedding favors, that’s fine too. Just make them homemade, personalized or a little original. You can put them in special wedding favor boxes and add personalized tags as an extra touch.

The wine and champagne are a big part of your wedding reception. If you have decided to serve wine, offer two choices – red and white if you are serving a wide array of foods.
If your wedding is in the daytime with light fare, stick with a white wine, a zinfandel or even spritzers instead. If you are serving pastas and beef, then obviously reds are a better choice. Get more tips on choosing wine for your wedding.
You can also incorporate the wine theme into your wedding decorations and favors. Truly Wedding Favors offers a wide variety of wine wedding favors that include everything from bottle stoppers and wine charms to wine glass candles and personalized champagne flutes.
The Petite Merlot wine gel candle favor pictured here is a fantastic choice. Each favor consists of a single wine shaped candle holder that contains a wine colored gel candle. When lit, the beautiful candle lets off a harvest grape scent. Your guests will really adore these unique wedding favors!

If you are having a smaller wedding, you might want to spend a little extra on your wedding favors.
Though there are plenty of favors that cost a dollar or two, by spending a few dollars more you can really widen your choices.
One of my favorite favors is this set of photo coasters and a wine bottle stopper. Two photo coaster wedding favors and one wine bottle stopper are included in a wire stand. One coaster sits on each side with the shiny chrome spiral bottle stopper placed in the middle.
These unique wedding favors come packaged in a white gift box. They are definitely a special favor that your guests will treasure for years to come.
Check out the other bottle stopper wedding favors and coaster favors available at Truly Wedding Favors. It’s always great when you can find something that is beautiful, practical and still quite affordable.

Crystal figurines are elegant and delicate. They also make great wedding favors. One of my favorites here at Truly is this beautiful crystal swan.
